Preparing for My Fourth Caesarean Section: Postpartum Support Essentials
As I eagerly anticipate my fourth caesarean section scheduled in a couple of weeks, I wanted to share the additional items I'll be taking to the hospital to support healing, breastfeeding, and my overall well-being.
- NaturoBest Prenatal Trimester 2 and 3 Plus Breastfeeding: I'll continue taking these throughout my breastfeeding journey for sustained nutritional support.
- NaturoBest Iron and Brain Support: Given the strain on my iron stores from past pregnancies and anticipated blood loss during surgery, I'll take these supplements every second evening.
- NaturoBest Ultimate Vitamin C & Bioflavonoids: Vitamin C, renowned for promoting healing and collagen formation, will also support my immune system post-operation and help alleviate inflammation.
- Multi-strain Probiotics: I will continue to take probiotics, aligning with current research supportive of supplementing breastfeeding mothers of c-section babies and reducing the incidence of allergies and asthma. Additionally, with a c-section, antibiotics prophylactically is standard procedure so I will need to combat the damage the antibiotics will do to my microbiota with replacing the good bacteria via supplementation.
- Ora Clean Omega D: Continuing this supplement to support healing and boost my immune system.
- Tummy Cream: Made with the intention to be used to support the birth afterpains. The arnica and peppermint infused cream has also been providing immediate relief when applied to my lower back now. I also plan to use it to massage the muscle above my c-section scar to prevent scar tissue formation.
- Nipple Balm: Made with lanolin and calendula, this balm is a crucial companion for the first few weeks to support my breastfeeding journey.
- C-Section Balm: Specifically designed to aid the healing process and protect the incision site.
- Healing and Supportive Tea Blend: Formulated to aid my digestive system post-surgery and facilitate internal healing.
- Herbal Pills: Made with turmeric, psyllium and magnesium to supplement the tea in aiding my digestive system.
We've meticulously crafted these balms, creams, and teas and can't wait to share updates on my recovery in the coming months.
