Our tallow is sourced from Gingin Beef, a trusted farm in Western Australia. The cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished, ensuring the highest quality tallow with superior nutrient density.

2. Does the Gingin farm use Bovaer or other additives to reduce methane emissions?
No, Gingin Beef does not use Bovaer or any other additives in their farming practices. Their approach focuses on natural, regenerative agriculture to maintain the integrity of their 100% grass-fed and finished beef.

3. How are the infused oils made?
The infused oils in our Whipped Tallow Cream are lovingly handcrafted by Rachel (our founder) using traditional infusion methods. Calendula, licorice, and other botanicals are slowly infused into the carrier oil in small batches to ensure maximum potency and quality.

4. What is the texture of the cream like?
Our Whipped Tallow Cream has a luxurious, fluffy texture that’s easy to apply and melts effortlessly into the skin.

5. Why does the texture change with temperature?
Since we use only natural ingredients without synthetic stabilisers, the cream’s texture can change based on the environment:

In warmer temperatures, it may soften or slightly melt.
In colder temperatures, it may firm up and create grit but will still spread easily when warmed between your hands.

6. Can I use the cream on sensitive skin or for babies?

Store the cream in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If it softens in high heat, simply pop it in the fridge for a while to firm it up again.

11. Is your tallow cream cruelty-free?
Absolutely. We source our tallow from ethical farms that adhere to humane and sustainable practices.

13. Does it smell like beef?
No! While tallow is derived from beef fat, we carefully render it to remove any strong odours. The natural scent of the cream is mild, with a refreshing touch from the honey, infused and essential oils.

14. What type of Honey do you use?

We use high-grade Manuka honey with an MGO rating of 573.

MGO stands for methylglyoxal, a naturally occurring compound found in Manuka honey that contributes to its unique antibacterial and skin-supportive properties. The higher the MGO rating, the greater the concentration of this compound.

We chose Manuka honey because it is well known for its ability to support skin comfort, maintain hydration, and help create a balanced environment on the skin’s surface. In this formulation, it works alongside nourishing fats and calming botanicals to help keep skin feeling soft, supported, and resilient.

Using a high-quality Manuka honey ensures this cream provides more than just moisture, it adds an additional layer of gentle skin support, making it particularly suitable for sensitive or easily irritated skin.

How to use

Apply a small amount of cream on clean skin, ideally the last product in your skincare regime. Use clean hands only.

Sustainable Packaging:

We do our best to reduce waste and minimise our environmental impact. Where possible, your order may be packed using reused or recycled packaging materials, which means you might receive your delivery in a box or parcel with other branding. Rest assured, your products inside are fresh, safe, and carefully packed—thank you for supporting our sustainability efforts!

Processing time:

We aim to carefully package and ship your order within 2 business days. You will be notified as soon as your order has been processed and shipped!

Delivery delays can sometimes occur, these are beyond our control, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Orders with presale items will be shipped together, we aim to keep the ETA up to date on the relevant product pages; however, as above, delivery delays can occur and are out of our control.

Local Delivery:

Local delivery is available within 10km. To find out if your address qualifies and the delivery fee, please proceed to checkout.

For deliveries within 3 km: Delivery is free and will generally be completed on the same day if the order is placed before midday.
For deliveries greater than 3 km: Deliveries will be made on Mondays & Tuesdays, within 5 business days.

Please note, we generally do not offer weekend deliveries.

Free local pickup:

Free local pickup is available Monday through Friday. You will receive an email once your order is ready for pickup, usually within 4 business hours. Please select a time slot and respond to the email.

Weekend pickup can be pre-arranged. Please contact us when placing your order to schedule a time.

Perth Metro Couriers Please Delivery:

Perth Metro courier delivery is available for street addresses only within the Perth metropolitan area.

Perth Metro boundaries extend from Alkimos in the north to Mandurah in the south. Eastern suburb boundaries vary.

Shipping is calculated at checkout, with a maximum courier charge of $15 (22kg maximum).
Free delivery is available for orders over $200

PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect addresses do not qualify for Couriers Please delivery.

Incorrect Shipping Selection

If an incorrect shipping option is selected, we will contact you to arrange payment of the remaining postage required.

If we do not receive a response within 48 hours, the order will be cancelled and refunded minus any non-refundable payment processing fees.

Shipping is completed by Couriers Post and Australia Post. Note only Auspost can deliver to Parcel Lockers, Parcel Collect or PO Boxes.

Notifications:

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Queries or questions about your order:

Please allow at least 2 business days after placing your order before contacting us. If you are unhappy with your order due to quality or a discrepancy, please email us and we will aim to resolve your issue.

Returns Policy

We want you to love your order from Botanic Balance.

General Policy
Our standard return period is 30 days from the date of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds or exchanges after 30 days.

Botanic Balance Skin Range
We understand that skincare can be personal and may take a little trial and error.

If your tallow-based skincare product didn’t work for you, you may return it within 14 days of receiving your order — no questions asked.
Please email hello@botanicbalance.com.au with your order details, and we’ll provide return instructions.
Return shipping is at your cost. Once received, we’ll issue a refund or exchange for the product purchase price (excluding shipping).

If the product is unopened and unused, you may still return it within 30 days under our standard policy.

General Products (NaturoBest, Power of 4, Nut Grocer, Cell Squared)
For health and safety reasons, all other products can only be returned if they are unopened, unused, and in re-saleable condition, or if found to be faulty or damaged on arrival.
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery if your item is faulty or incorrect so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
